　　介词短语in those societies作rose的状语，翻译时放到rose前面翻译;介词短语for entry to higher education作demand的定语，翻译时放到demand的前面翻译;介词短语before the war为时间状语，修饰前面的had not thought of attending 这一组动词，翻译时放到修饰的动词前面翻译。
